Colour relationships
The colour wheel is a big part of how we know what colours go well with each other and what colours are primary, secondary, tertiary, etc: The primary colours are colours that cannot be made. The colours are red, blue, and yellow. The secondary colours are the colours that are made by mixing the primary colours together. The colours are green, purple, and orange. The tertiary colours are the colours made by mixing the primary colours with the secondary colours and the secondary colours mixing with the other secondary colours.
There are other types of ways colours can be useful. These are monochromatic colours, complementary colours, and warm and hot colours. This is how we can make colours go together well with each other. For example you could design a poster using only monochromatic colours to introduce a theme to the poster.

MY COLOUR SQUARES
I have made squares on Photoshop to create squares with different colour patterns in them while the squares gradually get smaller
MONOCHROMATIC SQUARE
This is a monochromatic square where all the shades are the same colour and they are just darker and lighter. I used paletton.com to evenly use the colours to make a monochromatic square.

COMPLIMENTARY SQUARE
For this square i didn’t have to use Paletton.com because complimentary colours are the colours that are next to each other on the colour wheel so you don’t need tot correctly measure ut out and make the shades perfect.

TRICOLOUR SQUARE
This square is called a tricolour square because there are three colours and they are al on the opposite sides of the colour wheel. For this square i did have to use Paletton.com for this square because i had to find the colours and shades on it. I made the square so that it went from dark to light for all three colours so it would compliment each colour well.

HARMONIOUS SQUARE
For this square I used colours that were sort of the same shade so that they would all blend in. They all blend in because the colours are all next to each other in the colour wheel and that’s why they all look like they are the same colour.
